FPM LAPC: Fantasy Hi-Five
One of the top tournaments on the live tournament circuit, the L.A. Poker Classic, is upon us. Many of the game’s best are in Los Angeles to battle for the WPT title. Negreanu, Ivey and company are at the Commerce doing battle, let’s take a look at a few possible selections for your Fantasy Poker squads:
JOSEPH CHEONG
We haven’t seen Joseph Cheong (GPI#46) on the tournament trail a lot in the past few months but that doesn’t mean that you should overlook what he’s accomplished on the circuit.
Adding Cheong to your team is never a bad thing and this may be a perfect opportunity for Subiime to get back in the winner’s circle right here in Los Angeles.

BLAIR HINKLE
Many of the game’s best received their Full Tilt Poker monies yesterday as “Green Friday” took over everyone’s Twitter feeds and Facebook walls.
Blair Hinkle (GPI#396) was one of those players who finally got paid. Hinkle, who would win HUGE days prior to Black Friday, would have to wait over 1,000 days before finally seeing his money – a feel good story that could translate into LAPC success this week!

PHIL IVEY
Look who decided to join the action in Los Angeles … Phil Ivey (GPI#296), who recently returned to the GPI300 following a 10-week absence, should be an automatic add as long as things go well on Day 1 at Commerce.
Ivey is one of the most popular players in FPM, let’s hope he makes FPM users very happy managers this week!
JONATHAN LITTLE
We released a report earlier this week taking a look at Super High Roller event and how they affect players’ GPI scores … one interesting part of the the report was seeing how players like Jonathan Little (GPI#37) pick up points almost exclusively in 1k to 10k buy-in events.
Little works hard for his points, a good showing at the LAPC is certainly in his future.
Today is day 1 of the @lapc main. It is always exciting playing one of the largest events of the year with no rebuy safety net. I like it!

SHAWN BUCHANAN
It was a little shocking to see Shawn Buchanan (GPI#305) drop out of the GPI300 a few weeks ago.
The former WPT Champion has had some success at the L.A. Poker Classic. Buchanan had a tough 2013 campaign and has yet to score so far in 2014 – no time like the present to get back into the groove and win big in LA!
