Sky Announces Second 6-Max UK Poker Championships

Sky Poker to Host Second UK Poker Championship

The UK Poker Championships will return this summer thanks and according to Sky Poker the there will be £1 million on the line this time around.

Owning to the success of the first 6-max UK Poker Championships, Sky Poker is looking to follow this up with an even bigger version of the event inside Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn card room.

Back in February the inaugural Main Event saw 402 players pay £500+£50 to take part in the 6-max MTT and when things get underway on August 7th the organisers expect that total to be breached.

Indeed, on top of the tournament format being extremely popular with seasoned players, Dusk Till Dawn’s and Sky Poker will be hosting a slew of satellites to the festival costing just a few pounds to enter.

Beyond that, the next 6-max Main Event will carry a £500,000 guaranteed prizepool which is £400,000 more than February’s incarnation. Moreover, there will be a further £500,000 on offer in the five other tournaments set to take place between August 7th and August 17th.

The first satellites to the 6-max UK Poker Championships will appear in Sky Poker’s lobby from April 21st players can expect to qualify from as little as £1.
