STEADY AS HE GOES

Erik Seidel GPIErik Seidel has been a consistent performer on the live tournament circuit for 25 years now. His first cash on the circuit came back in 1988 and you may have heard about it? Seidel would finish second to Johnny Chan at the 19th World Series of Poker Main Event … pop in that Rounders Blu-Ray to see just how that tournament ended.

Since that time, Seidel has totalled 27 wins on the circuit and a remarkable 142 Top 10 finishes throughout his career. He is one of only a handful of players who has been ranked #1 on the GPI300 … spending a total of 15 weeks atop the 300.

SEIDEL’S HIGHLIGHT REEL

Erik Seidel GPISeidel was able to make good on that second place finish at the WSOP. Although he hasn’t won the Main Event, Seidel does rank 6th All-Time with a total of 8 golden bracelets … six of those eight coming between 2004-2013. His last bracelet win came in 2007 when he won the NLH Deuce to Seven Draw Lowball World Championship, earning over 500K USD for the W. He fell short of collecting his ninth bracelet this past October at WSOP Europe, falling to Roger Hairabedian heads-up in the 2K NLH event.

In 2008, Seidel defeated Robert Richardson heads-up to win his lone WPT title. Seidel would earn just under 1M USD for the win, in what was one of his five total appearances in World Poker Tour Final Tables.
