THE GRINDER, HE’S A MACHINE

Michael Mizrachi GPIYou just knew that there would be a spot in our rankings for the man who dominated tournament poker for a few years. In fact, there was a time between 2005 and 2006 when it seemed like Michael Mizrachi simply couldn’t lose. Grinder showed no mercy and was simply unstoppable.

Then, Mizrachi went through some tough times; situations away from the felt took over and his results started to dwindle … until 2010, that is.

Mizrachi took the 41st World Series of Poker by storm, winning the 50K Players Championship right out of the gates and making the November Nine – the Grinder was back!

MIZRACHI’S HIGHLIGHT REEL

Michael Mizrachi GPIMizrachi’s 2010 WSOP experience would end with a 5th place finish in the Main Event … five cashes … over 4M USD in winnings – not a bad few weeks! Grinder would once again win the 50K Poker Players Championship in 2012, adding another 1.4M USD to his bankroll.

Grinder exploded onto the poker scene in 2005. He would start off the year final tabling the Sixth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open. Weeks later, Mizrachi was hoisting his very first WPT title at the L.A. Poker Classic, pushing his season totals to over 2M USD less than two months in the season. He would finish the season adding four more victories and cashing in seven events at the World Series of Poker.

His other win on the World Poker Tour came in 2006 at the Borgata Poker Classic during Season III play … Grinder would also final table the World Poker Open for the second consecutive year, this time losing heads-up to the legendary Scotty Nguyen.
