GPI To Power Ante Up Poker Tour Player of the Year Race

The Ante Up Poker Tour has joined forces with the Global Poker Index:

ANTE UP POKER TOUR PLAYER OF THE YEAR RACE

AUPT LogoThis year’s Ante Up Poker Tour Player of the Year race will be powered by the Global Poker Index. Participants playing in Ante Up Poker Tour events will receive points based on the GPI’s exclusive points scoring formula.

GPI LogoAnte Up is shifting from their previous general player of the year format to one that will include only qualifying Ante Up Poker Tour events. Any player who cashes in a AUPT event will receive points, thus encouraging players to participate in more AUPT tour events in hopes of winning the Player of the Year race.

“Global Poker Index is doing exciting things with poker rankings, and it’s the perfect partner to spotlight Ante Up Poker Tour players and host locations,” said Scott Long, publisher of Ante Up Poker Media LLC with Christopher Cosenza. “We look forward to working with GPI on a number of other initiatives as 2014 unfolds.”

Global Poker Index and The Hendon Mob Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Dreyfus: “We’re very happy to enter into this partnership with the Ante Up Poker Tour/Ante Up Poker Media LLC. The GPI continues to expand, working with the AUPT will only help in our goal to promote the game and its players. We hope for a great race towards the Ante Up Poker Tour Player of the Year title – best of luck to all players!”

The race for #1 begins on February 15th with the Cordova Casino Ante Up Championship in Rancho Cordova, California!
