CardPlayerLA LogoA day after announcing a partnership with the Ante Up Poker Tour to power the Ante Up Poker Tour Player of the Year race, the Global Poker Index are proud to announce that we have joined forces with Card Player Latin America to power the “Jugador del Añ0 CardPlayerLA” – the CardPlayerLA Player of the Year race.

GPI LogoThe CardPlayerLA PoY race will cover all qualifying events in the Americas except for events played in Canada or the United States of America. Any player from the Americas (excluding Canada, Brazil and the USA) will be eligible to score points in the race to determine the Jugador del Añ0 CardPlayerLA powered by GPI.

CardPlayerLA’s Brian Saslavchik: “I’m extremely honored to work with such a respected company as the Global Poker Index/The Hendon Mob. When we started our ranking three years ago we never imagined it would be such a success that we would end up partnering up with the most prestigious poker ranking in the world. I hope this gives players an extra incentive to play more tournaments and to follow their progress trying to become the Player of the Year”.

Global Poker Index and The Hendon Mob Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Dreyfus: “We are very excited to be partnering with CardPlayerLA to help determine the next Player of the Year. Latin America is becoming a hotbed of poker, the fact that this association gives us even more of a presence in a booming market is fantastic news! There are more and more top players emerging from Latin American countries, we hope that the Jugador del Año CardPlayerLA will help us find the next stars.”
