GPI300: Former #1’s Negreanu, Mercier Back in Contention

A pair of former World #1’s are back in the mix and Paul Volpe charges his way back into the Top 10…

VIEW FROM THE TOP

A second place finish in the 10K No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball event at the World Series of Poker sees Daniel Negreanu (GPI#4, +6) right back in the thick of things on the GPI300. Kid Poker now sits fourth in the rankings, his highest rank since he was #1 in the World in mid-April.

Jason Mercier (GPI#5, +2) once again moves up inside the Top 10. A few days after moving up to #7, Mercier is up two more spots to #5 in the World.

10K No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Champion Paul Volpe (GPI#9, +26) makes a huge move in the standings, re-entering the GPI Top 10 for the first time in seven weeks.
