Dan Smith GPIDan Smith (GPI#1, -) remains #1 on the GPI World Poker Rankings for a third straight week. Smith also continues to lead the GPI Player of the Year race. It will certainly be interesting to see where Smith goes inside the rankings in the coming weeks as he has already stated that he his going to take the next few weeks of, choosing to replenish the batteries in beautiful Austin, Texas.

One player on the rise is WPT World Champion Keven Stammen (GPI#10, +1) who makes his long awaited debut inside the World’s Top 10 players.

The one known as Stammdogg to many has certainly enjoyed his fare share of success on tour in 2014. At one point, Stammen held a sizeable lead atop the GPI Player of the Year leaderboard. That lead has since gone away, although he still remains ranked inside the Top 10.

Just a few days after earning a Top 10 finish at the WPT Legends of Poker, Stammen returns to the place where he earned his monumental WPT victory, the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, with hopes of winning two straight WPT tour events presented at Borgata as the WPT Borgata Poker Open kicks off this weekend.
