Make it three weeks in a row at the top of the GPI World Rankings for superstar Jason Mercier (GPI#1, =). Mercier was once again off this week but is expected to get things going again this month with major tournaments in his native Florida and in Barcelona.

Making his way back up to #2 this week is Ohio’s Byron Kaverman (GPI#2, +6). Kaverman, who last scored points at the Bellagio Cup in Las Vegas, returns to second place for the first time in a month. It is the third time this year that he has been ranked #2 in the World, he has yet to hit #1. Kaverman has been part of the GPI Top 10 since February.

For a second straight week, Felix Stephensen (GPI#192, +37) is one of top movers. The 2014 WSOP November Niner is closing in on his career-best ranking. He was ranked #166 in June. Stephensen entered the GPI300 for the very first time in May.

Meanwhile, it’s situation critical for Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier (GPI#281, -62) who falls to the lowest ranking of his poker career. The former World #1 is dangerously close from falling out of the GPI300 for the very first time.
