GPI300: Seiver still leads as the WSOP looms

Very quiet week inside the GPI300 this week…

VIEW FROM THE TOP

Scott Seiver GPIScott Seiver (GPI#1, =) is spending week #4 at the top of the Global Poker Index World Poker Rankings. Seiver retaining his #1 status highlights a week without much action inside the 300 one week away from the kickoff to the 46th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

The only changes inside the Top 10 come in the bottom half this week as Sorel Mizzi (GPI#8, +1) and Pratyush Buddiga (GPI#9, +1) each move up one spot in the rankings. Mizzi is coming off a 10th place finish at WPT Amsterdam.

A win at the California State Poker Championship sees Eddy Sabat (GPI#108, +74) earn his best ranking of the 2015 poker season at #108.

With his victory last November at the Pittsburgh Poker Open entering a second aging period, the great Phil Hellmuth (GPI#380) drop out of the GPI300 for the first time in just under a year. Another strong WSOP season would surely see the Poker Brat return to the elite group by summer’s end.
