Nitsche Wins Event #21, Rettenmaier’s $100K Prop Bet

Nitsche Nabs Another WSOP Title

Tournament maestro Dominik Nitsche added another WSOP bracelet to his collection earlier today after he took down Event #21.

Riding a wave of positivity that stretches back to the WSOP Circuit National Championship last month, the German pro managed to best Dave D’Alesandro after battling through more than 2,000 No Limit Hold’em hopefuls.

After inching his way towards the title Nitsche was able to capture the chip lead and put in a commanding performance in the latter stages of the tournament.

Indeed, after pushing his opponent to the ropes multiple times, Nitsche finally brought things to a close after D’Alesandro moved all-in with Qc 7s.

Having made the call with Kd 6h, Nitsche simply had to sit back and watch as the Ks 6c Qh Ac 2d board gave him the title, his third WSOP bracelet and a $335,659 payday.

WSOP Event #21 Result:

1. Dominik Nitsche -$335,659

2. Dave D’Alesandro – $208,931

3. Bob Bounahra – $145,229

4. Zachary Gruneberg – $104,594

5. Thayer Rasmussen – $76,443

6. Jeff Gross – $56,549

7. Eric Milas – $42,382

8. Billy Horan – $32,168

9. David Burt – $24,702

Rettenmaier Makes a $100,000 WSOP Prop Bet

The WSOP is a time for collecting gold bracelets and tournament accolades but away from the felt the festival is also a time for making prop bets.

One player who decided to indulge the tradition of making off-the-felt wagers in the last 24 hours was Marvin Rettenmaier.

The German grinder added spice to his WSOP after agreeing a high stakes prop bet with Event #2 runner-up Jason Mo.

The American heads-up specialist, who publically criticised Vanessa Selbst during his second place finish, decided to compete with Marvin in a race to see who can win a bracelet.

The terms of the bet are simple: Marvin and Jason will each put up $100,000 each and the first one to win a bracelet in any NLHE event (excluded the One Drop) takes the bet and the six-figure prize.
