Marco Leonzio is an Italian poker player who made his first live-event cash in 2007. In the first 4 years, he cashed 8 times, made 2 final tables, and earned close to $300,000.
Marco, born in 1973, is a real estate agent from Pineto, Italy on the Adriatic Sea. He was introduced to poker at a young age, but didn’t start playing Texas Hold’em in 2007. The same year, he collected his first live event paycheck for €1,060 when he finished 16th in the €300 NLHE event at the Campionato d\’Italia 2nd Stage Internation Poker Championship in Cassin.
In 2010, Marco cashed in 3 EPT main events. At the EPT San Remo, he finished 118th in the €5,000 NLHE Main Event for €9,000 and at the EPT Vilamoura, he came in 16th in the €5,000 NLHE Main Event for €13,968. Marco made his first EPT final table in Prague, in the €5,000 NLHE Main Event, finishing 5th to earn €130,000.
By October 2011, Marco had cashed 4 times for the year and made the final table in an Italian Poker Tour (IPT) event. He started the year by cashing at the EPT Deauville in 79th place for €11,000 in the €5,000 NLHE Main Event. His next cash was at the EPT Grand Final in Madrid, where he took 46th for €25,000 in the Main Event.
At the IPT Nova Gorica in 2011, Marco came in 8th in the €2,000 NLHE Main Event for €13,900. Later that month, he finished 75th in the £9,000 NLHE Main Event at the EPT/UK & Ireland Poker Tour in London to collect £9,000.
Marco continues to play in cash games and uses his winnings to buy into live events. When he is not playing poker or selling real estate, Marco enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children.
