POKERNEWS GPI UPDATE

GPI LogoPokerNews Senior Editor and Producer Rich Ryan joins GPI Editor Eric Danis to talk about the GPI and GPIPoY races, who’s hot, who’s not and delve into the world of fantasy poker, sharing some hot picks for Fantasy Poker Manager.

KID POKER SHOCKER!!!

Ole Schemion GPIComing into this week, we already knew that Ole Schemion would more than likely be making a return to the #1 position on the GPI300. Schemion won the EPT Sanremo High Roller last weekend in Italy … what we couldn’t is the free fall that Daniel Negreanu would take, falling from 1st to 12th in one fell swoop. Although he suddenly has company in the Top 5, Keven Stammen from continuing rack up the points. Stammen is currently chasing the gold at the WPT World Championship and will be adding to his lead atop the GPI PoY standings. Finally, our fantasy pick for the EPT Grand Final Main and High Roller events is none other than Phil Ivey. At a 10K FPM Market Price, only a fool wouldn’t pick him up if he’s contending early in the Main! We also tell you why it might be time to sell HIGH on Mukul Pahuja, who wrapped up WPT Player of the Year honours on Thursday.
