2014 GPI Player of the Year leader Keven Stammen continues to shine in 2014 winning the WPT World Championship this past weekend and increasing his lead at the top…

STAMMEN WINS WPT CHAMPIONSHIP

Keven Stammen GPIAs if the man needed any more points heading into the World Series of Poker! After a phenomenal month of March – which earned him GPI Player of the Month honours – Keven Stammen (GPI#23) ended the month of April in grand style, winning the WPT World Championship, defeating his friend and newest GPI Top 10 member Byron Kaverman (GPI#7) heads-up.

His WPT victory added yet another 216.33 points to his totals. Not satisfied with becoming the first player to break the 800-point barrier this year, Stammen was back at it less than 24 hours after winning the WPT Championship, finishing 32nd at the WSOP Circuit Philadelphia event in Chester, PA. Stammen would be ranked #152 on the PoY charts based on this past weekend’s performances in AC and Philly alone!

Stammen has increased his lead to 254.39 GPI PoY Points on Alex Bilokur (GPI#16) and is expected to take his big lead into this year’s World Series of Poker, starting later this month in Las Vegas. Stammdogg enjoyed a fine start to the 2014 season, but it’s his performances in the past two months that put his season into overdrive, as this chart of his 2014 season PoY rankings proves:
