April 2014 GPI Player of the Month: Ole Schemion
Congratulations go out to Ole Schemion – Global Poker Index Player of the Month for April 2014:
ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER ACCOLADE
Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Ole Schemion (GPI#1) is good … real good. Schemion returned to #1 on the GPI300 just a few short weeks ago. Last week, he won the EPT Season 10 Player of the Year title. You can now add the title of Player of the Month to the long list of accolades.
Schemion added five more cashes to his already impressive career totals in April, highlighted by his big win in the High Roller event at EPT Sanremo – amazingly, his only win of the season on the European Poker Tour. Schemion’s biggest score of the month came in the Super High Roller event at the EPT Grand Final. In total, the young German sensation added € 649,800 to his bankroll, not bad for a month’s work!
His April performances see him move into second place in the 2014 GPI Player of the Year race, trailing only Keven Stammen (GPI#30) at the top.

BILOKUR IS RUNNER-UP
Ole Schemion isn’t the only player who had a successful April run. Russia’s Alex Bilokur (GPI#20) picked up an impressive six cashes this month, two at EPT Sanremo and four others at the EPT Grand Final.
His biggest score of the month was the € 119,400 he collected finishing third in the High Roller event at EPT Sanremo … the same event where Schemion earned his lone EPT10 victory.
Bilokur now has 10 cashes on the season and sits 3rd overall in the 2014 GPI PoY race. He heads to Las Vegas next, where he’s collected nine cashes in the last two years at the WSOP.
