CPPT Update, Tiger Woods Auction Underway

CPPT bestbet Jacksonville Nears Final Table

The Card Player Poker Tour was in the midst of its bestbet Jacksonville series in Florida. Of the numerous side events that had been completed, Matthew Oswalt was the star thus far, having won Event 1 for $34,086 and Event 6 for $3,380.

The $1,500 buy-in NLHE Main Event kicked off on May 9 with its reentries and $300K guarantee.

Day 1A attracted 80 entries, though only 15 players survived the action. Jess Snyder had the chip lead with 184,600 in his stack, followed by Erik Christensen and Corey Burbick.

Day 1B added another 138 entries but ended with only 32. The total for the tournament was then 218 entries. The night finished with Sean Hampson as the new overall chip leader with 206,700 chips, and Men Nguyen jumped into third overall with 173,800 chips.

Day 2 brought 47 players back to the tables but eliminated a number of them. With only 27 players to be paid, it was original chip leader Sean Hampson who lost ground and then busted in 28th place.

At the dinner break, only 14 players remained.
