Dmoongirl Signs With UP, MSPT Cheating Allegations, Ivey Visits Kids

Danielle Andersen Signs with Ultimate Poker

Ultimate Poker in Las Vegas announced today that Danielle Andersen, also known as “dmoongirl” is the site’s newest sponsored pro player. She joins players like Jason Somerville, Jeremy Ausmus, and Dan O’Brien on the Team U roster.

Andersen tweeted “TheUltimateAnnoucement” with “Sometimes when you dream big, big dreams happen.” She also noted in a statement: “I’m looking forward to my return to the online poker tables and the first legal online poker site in the United States seems like the perfect place to do it.”

Players Accused of Cheating at MSPT

The Mid-Stakes Poker Tour Main Event at Running Aces Harness Park finished just days ago, and friends Mark Sandness and MSPT-sponsored Blake Bohn got to heads-up, and Sandness won the tournament.

Poker News Report wrote that people on Twitter, in poker forums, and in the live stream chat box were alleging that collusion was in play because both players had a percentage of each other’s action. In addition, MSPT President Bryan Mileski separated the players during an unscheduled break at the final table.

The claims come from several instances of perceived soft play in hands together. The heads-up match was also very quick.

PNR reports that the stream of the MSPT final table will be available on the website later this week.

Ivey Visits South African Primary School

When Phil Ivey was in Johannesburg, South Africa, for the recent WPT Alpha8 tournament, he took some time for other activities. One of them was a trip to Nageng Primary School in Vosloorus with his girlfriend, Nellie Garcia.

The duo visited the children and participated in their classes, as well as handed out educational materials. They also served lunch to the young children and distributed gifts to the Nageng Primary After Care Centre children for less fortunate learners.
