FANTASY FOCUS: Keep An Eye On Peters

FPM logoNOTE: This article is being released days before lineups are due for the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic. Be sure to verify this player’s status when lineups are due (start of Day 2).

After spending 16 weeks inside the GPI300, Tobias Peters (GPI#347) unfortunately dropped out of the lead group two weeks ago and remains on the outside looking in. A good performance at the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic would be needed in order for the Dutch pro to return to the friendly confines of the GPI 300.

Peters, who was ranked in 1,203rd position just twelve months ago has enjoyed a steady rise on the GPI charts this year, his current 347th rank places him sixth overall in the Dutch GPI National Rankings.

Tobias Peters GPIAlthough there are no huge results on Peters’ list of major accomplishments, he has been a solid player on the live tournament circuit for a few years now. Peters has two wins on tour this season. The first came in a PLO event at EPT Deauville and the second was at a ACFPoker Tour (Aviation Club de France) event during WPT National Brussels in April.

Peters also cashed in the Berlin Cup High Roller event during EPT Berlin and he’s coming off two cashes at this summer’s WSOP in Las Vegas.

Heading into the final break of Day 1B at the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic, Peters finds himself with a very healthy chip stack – look for him to add to that during the last few levels of the night … add to that the fact that at he’s currently at a very affordable 11,240 on the FPM Market, you should easily be able to fit the Dutch pro in your lineup for Cyprus!
