FPM London: Draft Daniel Laidlaw

He may not exactly be a household name, but you would be hard-pressed to find a more accomplished poker player since the completion of the World Series of Poker this past summer …

GET TO KNOW LAIDLAW

Daniel Laidlaw (GPI#202) makes a living at the cash game tables. In fact, he moved to Macau to earn a better living playing the juicy cash games that Macau is known to host. That’s not to say that he does not have experience on the live tournament circuit. The Adelaide native has enjoyed most of his tournament success in him homeland.

In the weeks following the WSOP in Las Vegas, Laidlaw caught the mother of all heaters. After having finished in fourth place at APPT Macau at the same time that the WSOP was being played out in Las Vegas, Laidlaw would then earn a second place finish at ANZPT Queenstown in August. Just a few days later, Laidlaw followed up his Snowfest performance with a victory at the Sydney Championships, earning just under 200K USD for his week-long run!

Laidlaw also cashed here at EPT London in February … and collected a 10th place finish in the UKIPT High Roller event over the weekend. He was ranked close to 3,000th overall on the GPI at the start of February, he now sits just a few spots outside #200 – quite an impressive few months for sure.
