FPM WSOP Fantasy: 3 Great Leagues, 1 Great Summer!

Yes, it’s that time of the year again!  The WPT and EPT season are complete and it’s time for the World Series of Poker! The GPI/FPM team is in Las Vegas getting ready for what should be an historic seven weeks!

Last week, we announced our partnership with Daniel Negreanu’s Full Contact Poker Fantasy Pool, where FCP will be using GPI points to determine their WSOP pool winner … and where the winner will receive 1% of Kid Poker’s action at the WSOP!  Find out more about the FCP WSOP Pool >>> HERE.

In addition, we will be live-tweeting player selections from the 25k Fantasy Draft, live from Las Vegas on Tuesday! Be sure to follow our FPM twitter account @FantasyPoker for full coverage!

This weekend, we introduced our beta-version Mobile App for Android with our IOS version scheduled to come out shortly.

Today, however, we are very excited to introduce three brand-new leagues just in time for the start of the World Series of Poker! Fantasy Poker Manager will be all WSOP, all the time this summer … and the great news is that all FPM Mangers are automatically included in all three leagues!

LEAGUE #1  |  WSOP ALL-EVENTS LEAGUE

Welcome to the show!  The WSOP All-Events League includes ALL events on the WSOP calendar starting with Event #6 | “Millionaire Maker” Event.

• League Starts: Saturday, June 1st, 2013 with Event #6, the “Millionaire Maker” event
• Every single event on the WSOP calendar starting on June 1st are counted
• Seniors, Ladies, One Drop and Main events ARE included as part of the All-Events league
• You chose one team for ALL events – chose wisely … don’t forget about those Mixed Games geniuses!
• Lineups for the WSOP All-Events League lock: Saturday, June 1st at 11:00AM PT
• Once lineups lock, you can no longer make any changes to your lineup
• League ends once the November Nine is known, all members of the Nov 9 receive 9th place points
• The person who has accumulated the most points throughout the events will be declared the winner

LEAGUE #2  |  WSOP INDIVIDUAL EVENTS LEAGUE

This league is based on the traditional FPM format. We have hand-picked 19 of the best events presented this summer at the WSOP!

• League based on 19 hand-picked events (see list of events below)
• Uses more traditional FPM format, you can buy and sell players – hopefully at a profit!
• Change your lineups prior to each of the 19 events
• Lineups lock:  Four hours after the start of each event
• EXCEPTIONALLY for Event #6 (Millionaire Maker), lineups will only lock at the start of Day 2
• League ends the November Nine is known, all members of the Nov 9 receive 9th place points
• Like our current FPM league, we will offer overall rankings as well as standings for each individual event

LEAGUE #3  |  WSOP MAIN EVENT LEAGUE

Are you ready for the big time? The granddaddy of all poker events gets its own Fantasy Poker league this summer!

• WSOP Main Event-only league
• Draft your team by the start of Day 2A, Tuesday, July 9th at Noon PT
• League ends the November Nine is known, all members of the Nov 9 receive 9th place points
• The person who has accumulated the most points throughout the events will be declared the winner

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Here are a few guidelines for this summer’s events:

• Those that are new to the game start with a budget of 1,000,000 credits in order to select their teams. Those that are already signed up for FPM will continue with their current “salary caps”
• All participants are automatically included in all three leagues, you do not need to do anything on your end
• Those that wish to create their own private leagues can go ahead and do so!
• Scoring is based on the GPI scoring formula. Only players in the money can accumulate FPM Points
• All WSOP leagues close once the November Nine is set with 9th place points awarded to all WSOP Main Event Final Table (November Nine) participants
• In case you didn’t know, Player Market Price values are based on:  80% based on players’ GPI results | 20% based on players’ popularity within the FPM App (most bought)
• FPM Market Price will reset DAILY during the WSOP. Those that are most skilled in art of buying and selling players on FPM are used to Market Price adjustments on Thursday mornings, this will NOT be the case during the WSOP as daily fluctuations will happen
• IT’S A WSOP SALE! For a limited time only (once the Leagues officially start), users will be able to sell players at a reduced price.  Instead of paying a 5% transaction fee, all FPM Managers will pay a 3% fee when selling their players – in hopes that you don’t go broke on the fantasy felt this summer … chose wisely 🙂

DRAFT YOURSELF  |  WHERE FANTASY MEETS REALITY

Have a GPI ID? Are you playing a WSOP event? You have full confidence in your ability? Time to put up or shut up …

• From the creative minds of the GPI, Fantasy Poker Manager will allow users that are ranked on the GPI to add themselves to the game if they are not currently part of it
• Are you ranked GPI#2106 and want to add yourself to your team?  Go right ahead!
• You can add yourself using the FPM Mobile App only.  The mobile app is currently available to Android users with the ISO version coming very shortly
• Member of the GPI and yet cannot add yourself through the mobile app?  E-mail us at [email protected] and we will look into your situation

TEAM GPI/FPM INVADES VEGAS  |  IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

• Some members of Team GPI/FPM are already in Vegas with others coming in shortly – we have a HUGE booth setup at the RIO with flat-screen TV’s displaying the GPI 300, the GPI POY Standings, all the WSOP news as well as our state-of-the-art ticker keeping you informed on the goings on.  Make sure you stop to meet the team, it will be a pleasure to see you!
