MILLION DOLLAR DREAM

Over 2,800 are already registered for Flight A of the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event where the winner is guaranteed to walk away with a 1M USD payout – not bad for a few days’ work! The event offers two “flights” where those who are eliminated in the first flight can buy back in later in the day.

SELBST, SHACK-HARRIS WIN ON FRIDAY

Vanessa Selbst (GPI#4), who is featured on the cover of the GPI WSOP Preview Magazine, won her third bracelet on Friday, defeating Jason Mo heads-up in the 25K Mixed Max event. Selbst came into her two heads-up matches low in chips … that certainly didn’t stop her from coming back and winning each match in a performance for the ages.

Lost in the Selbst Mania madness Friday was Brandon Shack-Harris’ (GPI#47070) big win in the 1K PLO event. Over 1,100 players entered the event as Shack-Harris came out on top, collecting the most profitable win of his young career on the live tournament circuit.

OMG GALFOND LEADS!

The final 12 players in the 10K 2-7 Limit Triple Draw Lowball event will play down to a winner later today in the Amazon Room. Online legend Phil Galfond (GPI#1452) holds the start-of-day chip lead with GPI Top 10 member – and former World #1 – Jason Mercier (GPI#10) right behind him.

“The Takeover” Nick Schulman, Eli Elezra, Justin Bonomo and George Danzer are just a few of the other big names still alive in the tournament.
