GPI #WSOP14 Daily | Day 7

It was Hellmuth vs. Forrest for all the marbles … Bolotin defeats Danchev … Will we find the next Millionaire today? … Plenty of Monday action at the WSOP …

FORREST, BOLOTIN WIN BIG

Ted Forrest (GPI#12155) got the best of Phil Hellmuth (GPI#328) heads-up in a thrilling heads-up match in the $1,500 Razz event. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house two of the biggest names in the game duked it out with Forrest finally getting the best of the Brat after coming back from a fairly sizeable chip differential. Forrest earns bracelet #6 for his efforts.

Meanwhile, two of the game’s brightest stars, Alex Bolotin (GPI#1803) and Dimitar Danchev (GPI#61), were all but forgotten as they were also battling for a bracelet. In the end, Bolotin, the IveyPoker Pro, would defeat the Bulgarian and collect his first WSOP gold bracelet.

MASSIVE MILLIONAIRE MAKER

The Millionaire Maker heads into it’s third and (possibly) final day. We say possibly because although the plan is to end things today, there are still over 170 players remaining in the event. With the Day 2 bust-out madness, it’s not out of the question that we’ll play down to a winner today, but, we wouldn’t be surprised if an extra day is tackled on at some point during today’s play.

Over $1.3M USD awaits our champion.

MORE ACTION!

Day 2 action continues in the 1K NLH event with Adam Geyer (GPI#872) and Keven Stammen (GPI#30) near the top of the chip stacks. Stammen currently leads the 2014 GPI Player of the Year race. He has been on top for 10 consecutive weeks.

Dan Kelly (GPI#163) leads the remaining 111 players into Day 2 play in the 10K Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better event.
