GPI300: All Calm Up Top While Selbst and Salsberg Gain Ground
Another quiet week this week atop the GPI300 Leaderboard … but, recent performances at Borgata have Vanessa Selbst and Matt Salsberg trending upwards:
VIEW FROM THE TOP
Make it three weeks in a row at the top for German superstar Marvin Rettenmaier (GPI#1, -).
The Mad One and the rest of the GPI Top 10 remained intact … in fact, none of the Top 13 moved anywhere this week. The only change inside the Top 25 was made between Jonathan Duhamel (GPI#14, +1) and David Peters (GPI#15, -1) who swap positions at 14 and 15.

SWIMMING UPSTREAM
Our hats go off to Raul Paez Corral (GPI#224, +69) who’s this week’s top mover – thanks to his Top 10 finish at LAPT Panama – but we couldn’t overlook a pair of top notch pros who continue to gain ground this week, with the GPI Top 10 set in their sights:
WPT Borgata Poker Open runner-up Vanessa Selbst (GPI#31, +21) and Borgata Open prelim event winner Matt Salsberg (GPI#44, +15) have both made significant moves up the chain. Each player will have ample opportunity to continue their chase for #1 with big events coming in London, Enghien-les-Bains and Paris.

DOWN THE LADDER
You could make an all-star poker team with the players who suffered the biggest setbacks in this week’s rankings:
Vinny Pahuja (GPI#256, -64), David “ODB” Baker (GPI#238, -49), Roberto Romanello (GPI#153, -32), Rocco Palumbo (GPI#164, -31) and Martin Staszko (GPI#295, -27) are just a few of the big name pros who took a tumble in this week’s standings.

A pair of WPT Borgata standouts – final table participant Jeremy Kottler (GPI#161, +143) and champion Anthony Zinno (GPI#207, +201) both find themselves in the GPI300.
On the flip-side, Mike Sexton (GPI#316, -37) (GPI#320, -23), Brandon Cantu (GPI#316, -37) and Allen Cunningham (GPI#329, -54) are three of the seven players who have exited the 300 this week.
