GPI300: Chidwick climbs, Mizzi moves in this week’s Top 10

Top 5 intact but some movement in the bottom half of the Top 10 this week…

THIS WEEK’S HIGHLIGHTS

Ole Schemion GPIStop us if you’ve heard this story before. Ole Schemion (GPI#1, =) is dominating poker. Schemion remains the only player with over 4,000 points in the rankings. His 13th consecutive week atop the GPI World Poker Rankings means that the German has been the only player to sit atop the World Rankings for all of 2015 – it’s the longest streak to start a season in GPI history.

A runner-up finish in the High Roller event at the Macau Poker Cup sees Stephen Chidwick (GPI#6, +4) move one spot from a career-best #5 World Ranking.

Sorel Mizzi (GPI#10, +8) returns to the GPI Top 10 this week. His final table performance at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star helped him make a return to the lead group for the first time in two months. The former World #3 is set to represent #TeamCanada at the Global Poker Masters in Malta this weekend.

WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star winner Taylor Paur (GPI#84, +116) skyrockets up the charts this week, moving up over 100 spots for his highest ranking in almost two years. Paur’s latest rise in the ranks may not be over with as, remarkably, he has final tabled the final leg of the WPT’s California Swing at WPT Rolling Thunder near Sacramento.
