Byron Kaverman (GPI#1, =) is starting Week #13 atop the GPI World Poker Rankings. Kaverman, however, was unable to pad his lead in either Prague or Las Vegas. A strong showing at the PCA will be needed should he wish to remain the king of the hill.
A career win (on the live tournament circuit, at least) at WPT Alpha8 Las Vegas sees German phenom Fedor Holz (GPI#24, +14) enter the GPI World Top 10 for the very first time in his career. Holz has certainly enjoyed his first full year on the live tournament circuit!
Former World #2, Triple Crown winner Davidi Kitai (GPI#8, +4), returns to the Top 10 this week. Kitbut earned a pair of scores at the EPT Prague Festival, including a 9th place finish in the final High Roller event of the festival.
24 players enter the GPI300 this week including Jaroslaw Sikora (GPI#188), Hunter Cichy (GPI#218), Yingui Li (GPI#262), Aliaksei Boika (GPI#276), Benjamin Keeline (GPI#287) and Gavin O’Rourke (GPI#298), who all enter the 300 for the very first time in their careers.
