Matt Salsberg on playing poker and Fantasy Poker Manager

Matt Salsberg has had a hell of a run lately. He won the WPT Grand Prix de Paris in September 2012. He went on to final table both the WPT Borgata Winter Open and WPT Lucky Hearts. Currently, Salsberg ranks #57 on the GPI.

Among all this crushing, Salsberg, whom we had named as a quality pick in January, still has time to do some Fantasy Poker managing. He had this to say about his Fantasy Poker Manager experiences during a quick break of the ongoing LA Poker Classic.

What’s it like to be both a live player and a Fantasy Poker Manager?

It’s really cool. It’s fun to see how much you’re worth, how much you wanna spend on yourself and on other people.

Are you managing a team right now?

Yeah, I have a team for the LAPC, I filled it out yesterday. A friend of mine sent me a challenge request, and I said all right, why not.

Are you on your team?

Yeah, I picked myself. I couldn’t root against myself.

Besides yourself, who would you recommend as a pick to others out of today’s field?

Vanessa Selbst. She’s really good.
