UKIPT Season 4 Schedule, Plus Rettenmaier Selling Pieces for EPT Monte Carlo
UKIPT Season 4 Announced
British and European grinders were given a dose of good news earlier today after PokerStars announced the first selection of dates for its fourth UKIPT season.
While the tour officially kicked off two weeks ago with the first ever UKIPT Series event inside PokerStars LIVE London, the first main event doesn’t get underway until June 12.
Indeed, while Jake Cody’s win in the inaugural UKIPT Series event gave the organisers something to smile about, their focus will currently be on making Season 4’s opening event in Marbella, Spain, the best ever.
Carrying a €1,100 and offering a €500,000 prizepool, the Marbella Festival will be capped at 700 players and if last season’s interest is anything to go by then it will likely be a sell-out.
After treating players to the sunny climes of Spain, the tour will head back to the more familiar surrounding’s of London’s Hippodrome for its second Series event, before moving onto Galway, Ireland.
Other interesting additions to the Season 4 calendar include an inaugural trip to the Isle of Man as well as a 6-max event inside Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn poker room.
At present the full schedule hasn’t been released but it’s expected that the 2014 selection of events will be announced soon.
EPT Grand Final on the Horizon
The European Poker Tour’s Grand Final is less than a week away and already some of the world’s best players are offering pieces of their action.
Indeed, when the festival kicks off on May 6 inside the Monte Carlo Casino, a huge selection of world-class players will be taking to the felt in search of the biggest EPT title of the year.
One such player who will be looking for another piece of poker silverware is Marvin Rettenmaier. The German and number 1 ranked GPI player recently made a post on Facebook offering a slice of his action.
Offering piece of himself in the €100,000 Super High Roller event, Marvin has priced himself at 1.06 and will accept purchase of 2% or more.
This year’s EPT Grand Final is expected to be one of the best ever with players coming in from around the world to contest the €10,000 Main Event, as well as a host of tournaments, including Crazy Pineapple, PLO, Mixed and High Roller events.
On top of the tournament action, a slew of cash games will run from the start of the festival on May 6 until it concludes on May 15.
