Ultimate Gaming Improves Software: New Features Added

One of the biggest complaints Ultimate Gaming has faced since launching in Nevada on April 30, 2013 and in New Jersey on November 21, 2013 has been there less than stellar software, both from a technical GUI standpoint and when it comes to the features offered.

On Thursday Ultimate Gaming (the UCasino.com and UltimatePoker.com) took a step toward rectifying both of these situations, unleashing a comprehensive software upgrade that will see a number of technical improvements, new games, and a slew of new features.

“These software releases mark a significant initial step forward in terms of our company’s focus on responding to our customers’ needs and making steady progress on improving the online gaming experience,” remarked Ultimate Gaming Chief Executive Officer Tobin Prior.

Can Ultimate Gaming turn it around?

Ultimate Poker has struggled to make any type of impact in New Jersey, and despite a six-month head start in Nevada they have lost a lot of ground to WSOP.com.

This latest software upgrade, coupled with the company’s hiring of a new Chief Marketing Officer in Todd Kobrin as well as an exciting new promotion called Cash Game Crazy, and the ongoing Chase the Dream promotion.

Taking all of that into account, this could be Ultimate Poker’s last chance to make it happen in New Jersey.

Here is a look at the upgrades and new features players will find at Ultimate Poker and the UCasino from a press released issued by Ultimate Gaming on Thursday.

Technical improvements

Wi-Fi improvements New Jersey

Leveraging the proprietary new technology being deployed, geolocation now relies on Wi-Fi and removes the need for mobile phones.  Players can also now enjoy Ultimate Casino on their devices in more public venues.

 Wi-Fi geolocation in Nevada

Players in Nevada can also now enjoy Ultimate Poker without a cellphone. As long as a Wi-Fi connection is established, customers can enjoy the site without any of the issues associated with previous geolocation methods including public hotspots, poor reception and phones shutting off. Those without a Wi-Fi connection are still able to geolocate using their cellphone.

Enhanced iOS experience

A completely new Ultimate Casino mobile application has been designed for iOS devices, which features more intuitive navigation and now supports iPhone.

Games and Features

New casino games

Twenty five new casino games from Amaya Gaming will be added to the lineup at Ultimate Casino in New Jersey over the forthcoming weeks, including eight popular new slot machines (Buccaneer’s Bounty, Fire Flies, Armadillo Artie, Shark Bite, Aladdin’s Legacy, Angel’s Touch, Vampires vs. Werewolves and Serengeti Diamonds). New table games include multi-hand blackjack and no commission baccarat.  Seven new video poker games have also been added for video poker enthusiasts.

Hand history

Players can now see a direct link to the hand history for the previous hand.  The hand histories are text based and include all pertinent information including starting stack sizes and any opponent’s cards if shown.

Player notes

Phase one of player notes is available now and features colorizing. Players now have the ability to color code their opponent’s pedestals in order to categorize them.  These colors persist through multiple sessions, and can be changed in real time.

Time bank

Players will now have access to a time bank when additional time is needed for those tough decisions.

Tournament re-buy and add-on displays in the lobby

Tournament lobbies now display information on the duration of re-buy periods prior to a tournament’s start, as well as the number of re-buys and add-ons purchased once it begins.

Auto bonusing This feature allows players togain, track and receive bonuses in real time.  Additionally, players can have multiple bonuses running while selecting which bonus they would like to work off first.

Waitlists

Waitlists are now live in Nevada and expected to be released soon in New Jersey.
