WPT Borgata Open: Draft Paul Volpe

The time is right. What time is that? Time to fit Paul Volpe (GPI#10) and his massive FPM Market Price value to your team for the WPT Borgata Poker Open … why? Well it’s time for Volpe to close the deal on this first major poker title, that’s why!

2013 IS THE YEAR

It has already been a fantastic year for Paul Volpe. He started the season with back-to-back WPT final table appearances – a second place finish at the LA Poker Classic (Paul Klann) and a third place finish at the Bay 101 Shooting Star (WeiKai Chang) – just that would be a great year for player on the live tournament circuit … but Volpe wasn’t done yet.

Just a week after his San Jose score, Volpe would finish fourh in the High Roller event at EPT London – followed by a WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown double a month later … a 27th place finish in the Main Event and a fourth place score in the High Roller event.

Volpe would move on to collect two side event victories at the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo and hit five scores at the WSOP … all of this to say, 2013 has been really good to Volpe or is it Volpe has been really good in 2013?

Volpe was one of the first “stars” on FPM – Fantasy Managers who took a shot and added Volpe to their lineups for the LAPC back in February, when FPM was still in its infancy, were certainly rewarded … those who gambled and kept Volpe on their teams for the Bay 101 became instant fans, as Paul’s Market Price shot through the roof after the California double.

Volpe the unofficial chip leader heading into Day 2 play at the Borgata Poker Open … and with 17 cashes and over 1.6M in winnings so far in 2013, there is no reason why Volpe won’t stop rolling here in Atlantic City.

On a side note, Volpe lists the Borgata as his favourite place to play live poker on his PocketFives bio page … besides, the last time we suggested you draft Volpe, he finished third at the Bay 101 – he can’t lose 🙂
