He loves L.A. Why Jesse Yaginuma could be one hell of a pickup at the Legends of Poker….

LAPC SUCCESS

Jesse Yaginuma (GPI#375), a poker pro originally from Maryland, has enjoyed deep runs in two of the last three Los Angeles Poker Classic mains. In 2011, Yaginuma finished in 10th position and just a few short months ago, he finished third, picking up the biggest cash of his live tournament career.

Now let’s make one thing clear, this isn’t the LAPC and were are not at Commerce … but, there could be something to be said for Yaginuma, who now spends move of his time in Los Angeles, and his comfort level in LA-based poker rooms … I guess we’ll find out soon enough!

Jesse Yaginuma GPIWith Day 1B currently underway and Day 1C coming up tomorrow, Yaginuma is already looking forward to Sunday’s Day 2 play. He bagged a stack north of 130K on Thursday and looks to be in a prime position to continue to roll once Day 2 comes around.

The extra two days rest can do nothing else but help the young man who now sets his sights on tons of hours of play in the hopes of making a second WPT Final Table in six months … this time, in hopes of joining the exclusive WPT Champions Club.
