WPT Legends: Draft Nikolai Sears

It certainly has been a summer to remember – so far – for Nikolai Sears, and we feel he would be part of your plans when putting together your FPM Fantasy Team for the WPT Legends of Poker…

SEARS’ STOCK SKYROCKETS

Nikolai Sears (GPI#422) was nowhere to be found on the live tournament circuit leader boards in 2012. In fact, it was pretty much status quo at the start of the 2013 season … and then came the World Series of Poker.

He began the WSOP ranked in 5369th position in the rankings, far way from GPI300 contention. Four cashes and 159K USD later and Sears is so close to entering the GPI300 for the first time of his career, he can smell it.

This time at the WSOP included a final table qualification in Event #21 – NLH Six Max – where he would finish in fifth position.

CHIP UP

I spent quite some time checking out Sears’ table yesterday. He seemed in command of his table and was playing some very solid poker. His efforts were rewarded in the end as he will take the day off on Saturday and come back for Day 2 Sunday with a stack that’s about 100K, placing him in great position for a deep run in the event.
