#WSOP14: And They’re Off!

Cards are in the air in Event #1 – Casino Employees Event. Over 60 gold bracelets will be up for grabs in the next seven weeks at the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The game’s best poker pros along with a ton of amateurs hoping for that one big score are set to wage war throughout the scorching hot Vegas summer.

Later today, many of the biggest names are expected to make their 2014 WSOP debut in the Mixed Max event. Players will begin Day 1 playing 9-handed, will move to 6-max play on Day 3. Those survivors will play the four-max format on Day 3 and those advancing to final table play on Friday will meet in heads-up action. The event, which carries a $25,000 buy-in, is surely to be one of the most prestigious events presented at this year’s WSOP.
