Dan Smith (GPI#1, =) makes it three straight weeks at the top of the GPI World Poker Rankings. Coming off a fine final table performance in the Poker Players’ Championship at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Smith managed to retain his #1 status for another week, remaining the only player to collect over 4,000 points this week.

Belgian superstar Davidi Kitai (GPI#5, +5) also enjoyed a deep run in the Poker Players’ Championship, finishing 7th. That allowed Kitai to move up the ranks following a few tense weeks which saw him drop down inside the Top 10. Kitbul has been ranked amongst the world’s elite group since August of last year.

The Year of the Zinno continues as reigning WPT Player of the Year Anthony Zinno (GPI#8, +4) continues to ride the hot streak at the WSOP; most recently finishing 7th in the One Drop High Roller event. Zinno is currently competing in his fifth final table of the summer in the $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha event.
