WPT Bay 101: Pick Paul Volpe

The secret’s out, the cat’s out of the bag, in case you didn’t hear, Paul Volpe is turning the live tournament poker circuit into the paulgees81 Show right in front of our eyes.
With over 4M USD in winnings online on the virtual felt, it’s no surprise to see Volpe running so well on the live tournament scene lately. What started with a runner-up finish to Paul Klann just a few days ago at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic has turned into yet another strong performance so far at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event here in San Jose, California.
With 270 player registered to play Day 1A on Monday, Volpe managed to post the 12th best result of the day and will be carrying over 146,000 chips into Day 2 play on Wednesday – he will certainly be enjoying a day off from competition today.
Volpe enjoyed a very deep run during the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event in July finishing 20th out of close to 6,660 entrants, earning a very impressive $294,601 payday.
There is no reason to believe that Volpe is anywhere near done with his current run on the live tournament circuit. We suggest you get Volpe onto your team now, before his price skyrockets – and that could happen very shortly given his recent LAPC score combined with a deep run here in San Jose.
