WPT Legends Of Poker 2012 Day 3: Chip counts and GPI rankings

It does not take long to a WPT to go from 622 registered players to 18 survivors, who will surely try to take down the $500,000 first prize, and become, a WPT poker legend.

But another battle is taking place at the Bicycle casino in Los Angeles, California: the battle for GPI points. Joseph Cheong and Jason Koon were gonna make  it through day 3 and were looking at getting much closer from the GPI 300 top ten. Unfortunately Jason got eliminated in 19th position preventing him from coming back into day 4.

By winning this, Joseph  would make a jump by replacing one of his period 1 score by a much better figure, which would help him in the future to reach the top ten. The American player does not have enough scores throughout the past 3 years to have a full GPI score. The years passing by and if he does get more results, he could be a serious challenger for  Jason Mercier or Elky.

Chip Leader is Cyrus Fazard, not ranked in the Global Poker Index, with 3,180,000 chips, followed by Greg Mueller, 2,000,000 (GPI#531).
