A Final Look at WPTN Brussels

Russia’s Yunoz Tuguz won the first ever World Poker Tour National Series event held in Belgium earlier today, surviving a 450-runner field filled with some of Europe’s best poker pros (there were a few American players as well).

A grand total of 628 participants put up a minimum of 25 FPM Points at WPTN Brussels and 11 of you finished first!  Each of those participants scored a total of 227 FPM Points with Kris Pereira, Pierre Neuville, Benjamin Pollak and Koen De Visscher leading the way for those teams.

Sandra Naujoks FPMAmongst those scoring 227 Points was former EPT Dortmund Champion Sandra Naujoks.  Like many participants, Naujoks was hoping for a deeper run from French veterans Bruno Fitoussi and Michel Abecassis to help her win points race.  Kevin MacPhee and Ilan Boujenah also scored some valuable points with their teams in Brussels.

THE PERFECT TEAM?
Only seven players available on the FPM roster earned Points in this event.  For the first time in the very short history of the Fantasy Poker Manager, none of the final table participants were available for selection in this event.  Those seven would have cost you 395,180.  Here are the Perfect Seven from Brussels:

Kris Pereira FPM

9th Christophe Pereira (GPI: 918) 10,500
14th Pierre Neuville (GPI: 188) 226,950
20th Benjamin Pollak (GPI: 595) 10,500
26th Steven Moreau (GPI: 578) 10,000
29th Koen De Visscher (GPI: 256) 33,250
43rd Alain Roy (GPI: 160) 93,980
47th Flavien Guenan (GPI: 1068) 10,000

Neuville would have taken almost 60% of your total salary cap for the event.  A total of (23) of the GPI FPM list have a higher current market price than this total team combined!  Just goes to show that not only the heavy hitters are needed to score points in the FPM!

We now turn our attention to Austria as WPT Baden is about to kickoff … and don’t forget, the LAPC is just around the corner as well.

Lineups for WPT Baden are set to lock on Thursday.  Head on over to Facebook and signup to play the GPI Fantasy Poker Manager – you still have plenty of time to make your selections for our next event!
