Alpha8 Details, New DSPT Ring
WPT Alpha8 Announces Inaugural Event Details
The World Poker Tour recently revealed a new Alpha8 series of high stakes poker tournaments with $100K buy-ins. The first of those events, which will be filmed for television on FOX, will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on August 26 and August 27.
Players can expect eight-handed tables and 60-minute levels for the two days of action in Alpha8 Florida, and they may reenter the tournament an unlimited number of times during the first four levels. The reentries are rake-free and cost only $96,500. They are also eligible to receive three free nights’ accommodations at the hotel from August 25 through 27.
DSPT Reveals Championship Ring
The DeepStacks Poker Tour announced a new 2013 DSPT Mohegan Sun Championship ring, designed by Edward Mirell Jewelers. The winner of the November Mohegan Sun World Championship will receive the ring, which will feature 23 diamond-cut emeralds on a grey titanium band, along with the prize money.
