APPT Announces Manila Stop

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour revealed another stop on its Season 8 tour. The Metro Card Club in Manila, Philippines will host the series of tournaments to be held July 2-7, 2014.

There will be five Asia Player of the Year tournaments included in the series, starting with the PHP 10,000 NLHE Manila Cup and culminating in the PHP 50,000 NLHE Main Event. The APPT staff is excited to return to Manila after a four-year hiatus.

PPC Reveals Tunica and Pensacola Stops

The PPC Poker Tour expands its 2014 schedule with several new stops. The first is at the Horseshoe Tunica in Mississippi on August 20-24. The second will be at the Pensacola Greyhound Track and Poker Room as part of the 2014 Pensacola Summer Showdown in Florida.

The Tunica stop will feature a $350 NLHE Main Event with a $550K guarantee, and the Florida tournament will be a $250 NLHE Main Event with a $50K guarantee from August 27-31. The latter will have four starting flights for players and reentries allowed.

Tiger’s Poker Night to be Presented by WPT

The World Poker Tour is officially presenting the third annual Tiger’s Poker Night at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on May 16, 2014.

Phil Hellmuth will emcee the charity event, which is set up to raise funds for the Tiger Woods Foundation. The top eight finishers in the tournament will receive gifts, with the winner receiving the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf with Woods.

Aussie Millions Scheduled for TV Debut

The 2014 Aussie Millions played out earlier this year at the Crown Melbourne in Australia, and the filmed episodes are now ready for their television debut.

The premiere episode will air on ESPN Australia on Sunday, April 20, at 9:00pm. Every Sunday will offer subsequent episodes, each one hour long and going on for 12 weeks. It will begin with the Aussie Millions Main Event and go on to include the $100K Challenge, $250K Challenge, and the high-stakes cash game that took place during the Aussie Millions.
