Aussie Millions Latest Result; Vanessa Rousso on the Decks

Bouskila Rises Down Under

A maiden Aussie Millions win for Michel Bouskila was the story of Event 5 inside Melbourne’s Crown Casino yesterday.

A total of 523 players lined-up for the $1,100 six-max event, but by the conclusion of Day 1 just nine hopefuls remained.

Among the chasing pack looking for the largest slice of the $523,000 prizepool was Neil Channing.

The British pro started the final session with a healthy stack, but after a rocky start he soon found himself short stacked and all-in with pocket nines.

Unfortunately for him, Vlastimil Stastny was able to make the easy call with pocket jacks and, with the dealer offering Channing no reprieve, he headed for the rail in 9th place.

Thanks to the boost from Channing’s chips, Stastny was able to get as far as 5th place before busting out thanks to highly rated Australian pro, Tom Grigg.

As the field dwindled it was Grigg and Bouskila who survived, but with a 4/1 advantage, it was Bouskila who ultimately stole the show.

The win not only netted Bouskila $110,000 but his first Aussie Millions Championship ring.

Place Name Prize
1st Michel Bouskila $110,000
2nd Tom Grigg $73,000
3rd Jan Suchanek $54,000
4th Oliver Gill $43,000
5th Vlastimil Stastny $32,000
6th Andrew Bassat $21,000
