Borgata Side Events and WCOPC Progress, MPC20 Final Table

Borgata WPO Finds Winners

The Borgata Winter Poker Open moved on from the first canceled event and awarded trophies to several players in other events.

Event 2 was a $400 Black Chip Bounty NLHE tournament with 615 entrants and a $215,250 prize pool. The event eventually wrapped late into the night with Haim Toorgeman defeating Hani Khalil for the title and $50,132 in prize money.

Event 3 was a $560 Deep Stack NLHE Reentry with 578 entries and a $289K prize pool, and Joe McKeehan defeated Dimitrious Goranitis for the win, which included $69,808 in cash.

Event 4 was a $500 PLO 8-or-Better tournament, and 140 players participated to create a $63K prize pool. Joseph Villella won $18,334 for his victory.

Other winners thus far included Iverson Snuffer in Event 5 for $63,882, David Arsht for $14,796 in Event 6, Richard Gargel in the Seniors Event 7 for $22,080, and Patricia Knoll for $10,138 in the Ladies Event 9.

WSOPC Plays Final Table

When the World Series of Poker Circuit resumed its tour in January, it stopped at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. The $1,675 NLHE Main Event began on January 17 with a $1 million guarantee and attracted 1,428 entries for an actual prize pool of $2,142,000.

Day 2 started with 294 returning players but worked its way through the money bubble and onward. Some of those who cashed later in the tournament included Aaron Massey, Kevin Eyster, and Joe Kuether. The night stopped with 16 players and Jeff Gibralter leading them with 3.7 million chips.

Day 3 started with the 16th place elimination of Greg Jennings for nearly $20K, and Allan Hedin exited in tenth for $29,560. The final table was then set:

Before the dinner break, Walker exited in ninth place, Sanders in eighth, and Capps in seventh.

MPC20 Red Dragon Sets Final Table

The Macau Poker Cup was in full swing at the PokerStars LIVE Macau poker room when the HK $11,000 NLHE Red Dragon Main Event began. There were 995 players in action for a HK $9,651,500 prize pool.

Day 2 took the 223 players left, thinned that number into the money so the top 117 could be paid, and ended the night with 77 competitors in action. Leo Gao was the chip leader with 919K.

Day 3 saw the exits of players like Juicy Li, Vivian Im, Lacey Jones, Wei Zhang, and Hoang Anh Do. Jimmy Pan was then eliminated in tenth place to set the final table with Terry Fan in the mix and seeking another Red Dragon victory.
