CPPT Palm Beach Underway, More WSOPC Winners

CPPT Palm Beach Begins

The Card Player Poker Tour was ready for its last stop of the year with a tournament at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. There were a series of tournaments for players from December 5 to December 15.

The first tournament was a $345 buy-in NLHE event with a $100K guarantee, and more than 170 players took their seats only two hours into the action. Events will continue with the $1,120 NLHE Main Event scheduled to begin on December 13 with a $250K guarantee.

WSOPC Winners Abound in Atlantic City

The World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah’s in Atlantic City began on November 29 and awarded the first ring to Raymond Papperman out of the 383-player field.

Event 2 drew 483 entries for the $365 NLHE reentry tournament, and after players like Zachary Donovan and Jamie Kerstetter exited the final table, Tod Liang won first place money of $31,159.

Event 3 was a $580 NLHE event with 192 players and a $96K prize pool, out of which Brian O’Donoghue won the title and nearly $25K.

Event 4, another $365 NLHE, had 388 players in seats and awarded Paul Avilla top honors and $25,605 for the win.

Frank Conti won Event 5, a $365 NLHE 6-Max tournament with 296 total players. He took home more than $21K.

Event 6 was a $365 NLHE Turbo, and of the 225 entrants, Phillip Hui emerged victorious with close to $17K in prize money.
