Genting Heading to Stoke, UKIPT Prepares for PLO Series

Genting Poker Series Heading to Stoke

Genting’s live poker series will head to Stoke next week and once again there will be a minimum of £125,000 in cash up for grabs.

As always the opening session will take place online before the organisers unplug themselves and head over the Stoke’s Genting Casino.

Back in 2013 the GPS Stoke Main Event attracted 415 entrants and when the betting was over it was Tony Hallam left basking in the spotlight of success.

After agreeing a deal with Jon Alley heads-up, Hallam hoisted the winner’s trophy aloft and collected his £34,360 score after his As 7d caught a slice of luck against his opponent’s Ac Kd.

This season’s GPS Stoke will get underway on May 21st and in addition to the £400+£40 Main Event will be a selection of side events, including a £5,000 guarantee NLHE tournament with a £75 entry fee.

UKIPT Set for the Tour’s First PLO Series

UKIPT’s ever expanding schedule of events will get a little bit larger next week when the tour’s £250 PLO event gets underway inside London’s Hippodrome Casino.

In a break from the norm, the forthcoming UKIPT Series event will give players a chance to play for another bumper prizepool in a distinctly more action packed format.

Ahead of the event the organisers are predicting another healthy turnout and while the inaugural UKIPT Series champion, Jake Cody, won’t be in attendance, Full Tilt ambassadors Martins Adeniya and Sinem Melin will be.

The Main Event will host two opening days (Friday May 23rd and Saturday May 24th) before the final session gets underway on Sunday.

Players who bust out before the close of play on Day 1 will be able to re-enter once and there is a cap of 220 entrants on each day.

Indeed, if the event maxes out then the prizepool should top £100,000 which means the winner could walk away with more than £30,000.
