GPI300: Kaverman finishes 2015 ranked at the top

Kaverman ends season on a high note but O’Dwyer is lurking …

Byron Kaverman GPI

Just like Ole Schemion (GPI#37, +1) did last year, Byron Kaverman (GPI#1, =) will enter 2016 on a heater, spending his 14th straight week ranked at the top of the GPI World Poker Rankings. Kaverman survived the first few rounds of WSOP events entering different aging periods, however more WSOP results will age shortly, as well as Kaverman’s 3rd place finish at this year’s Bellagio Cup, which will enter the a second aging period in 10 days time.

Steve O’Dwyer (GPI#2, +2) returns to #2 in the World for the first time since June 18, 2012 – hard to imagine that O’Dwyer actually dropped out of the GPI300 for a few weeks late in 2014 given his consistent performance on the circuit for the five years.

Justin Young (GPI# 172, +119) and Jens Lakemeier (GPI#207, +88) will end 2015 on a high note, avoiding relegation and moving away from the dreaded danger zone inside the rankings.
