Klodnicki Wins in Bethlehem, Boyd Sells Bracelet

Klodnicki Wins DeepStack Extravaganza

The Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, hosted the DeepStack Extravaganza this month, and the Main Event wrapped late into the night of December 17. After several days, the original field of 188 players was reduced to nine, all competing for the lion’s share of the $500K prize pool. The final table started with Chris Klodnicki in the lead with Joseph Tracy not far behind.

As players hit the rail, Klodnicki ultimately crippled and then eliminated Richard Allen in third place to get heads-up with Edward Pham. Klodnicki led by about 500K chips, but the two decided not to play on. They agreed on payouts and that Klodnicki taking the title. All final table payouts, according to PokerNews, were as follows:

1st place: Chris Klodnicki ($135,000)

2nd place: Edward Pham ($84,000)

3rd place: Richard Allen ($51,000)

4th place: Coury Mascagni ($37,500)

5th place: William Tonking ($28,000)

6th place: Joseph Tracy ($23,000)

7th place: Timothy Chang ($20,250)

8th place: Micah Raskin ($17,750)

9th place: Michael Schoultz ($15,000)

The last few events of the World Series of Poker Circuit in San Diego, California, played out as the Main Event came to an end. Event 9 saw Jessie Bryant take the ring and $27,202 for the $1,125 NLHE event, and Event 11 was a $580 NLHE tournament with 107 entries and Fedor Truntsev of Russia grabbing the ring and $16,048. Finally, Event 12 was a $365 NLHE turbo tournament that drew 103 players to the tables and awarded the first place prize of $9,270 to Atrayon Trevino.

Dutch Boyd Takes Bracelet Bids

Professional poker player Dutch Boyd has announced that he intends to sell his 2008 Bellagio bracelet, one that was part of his victory in a $2,500 NLHE tournament at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic that year. He calculated the meltdown value of the gold at a little over $2,600 and set the first opening bid at $1,500. While there have been no takers, the bracelet will remain for sale on eBay until Saturday.
