Lapossie Wins WPT Fallsview Poker Classic

We’re all done in Niagara Falls as Matthew Lapossie becomes the latest person to enter the WPT Champions Club…

FROM EPT FINAL TABLE TO WPT WINNER’S CIRCLE

Matthew Lapossie WPTThe WPT Fallsview Poker Classic is in the books. 2009 EPT Barcelona final seventh place finisher Matthew Lapossie (GPI#-) took his final table experience all the way to the bank winning the second tournament of his career on the live tournament circuit near his hometown in Niagara Falls, earning over 360K CAD for his efforts.

Lapossie also picked up a cash in the 2,500 prelim event at Fallsview. The prelim score was the first in five year for the Canadian.

Down to last place chips earlier in the day, eventual runner-up Dylan Wilkerson (GPI#669) battled his way back into contention in the event. His hard work allowed him to take home over 250K CAD.

TIME FOR THE LAPC

One of the most anticipated events on the poker calendar is upon us. The L.A. Poker Classic is already rocking with prelim events (the Playboy event had an impressive 1M USD prize pool) and the big event starts on Saturday. Many of the world’s best are expected to make an appearance, it will certainly be interesting to see who will take down this year’s event.
