MCOP Latest, Sam Trickett’s Poker Room

Dutch Going Strong in MCOP

The Dutch Master Classics of Poker Main Event saw a flurry of chips result in 38 players hitting the rail as the action moved one step closer to a final table. Leading the final ten after a positive day at the felt was local pro Clyde Terlaan.

Having made his way through the bulk of the 298 original starters, Terlaan was able to bag 1.3 million chips and finish ahead of a strong contingent of Dutch pros.

That place at the top of the chip tree came thanks to the elimination of Tom Middleton in eleventh place. After watching Bryn Kenneyhit the rail in twelfth, a short stacked Middleton decided to move all-in with pocket threes.

Despite a quick glance at the poker gods, Middleton saw he was in trouble after Dmitry Nemirovsky called with pocket kings.  With no help from the dealer, a dejected Middleton was ushered towards the cashiers’ desk whilst the final ten players bagged and tagged their chip for the night.

Joining Terlaan in today’s final session was five compatriots, including: Noah Boeken (1,092,000), Luuk Gieles (1,075,000),Johan Verhagen (868,000), Zeus Post (854,000) and Rob Hollink (674,000).

Earlier today the action got underway and after a brief exchange the field was cut to a final table of nine. Missing out on a place in the finale was Zeus Post who found himself on the wrong end of bad luck after his pocket queens failed to overcome Luuk Gieles AQ.

The final table is currently taking place and you can view a live stream here.

Sam’s Room

Honouring poker players with their own high limit room has been something casinos have done for a number of years and now the UK’s Dusk Till Dawn has followed that trend.

Taking a leaf from Bobby’s Room and Ivey’s room, Europe’s largest poker venue has named its high limit room The Sam TrickettSuite.

Thank to a remarkably successful poker career that has seen him bank almost $20 million in tournament winnings and countless more from cash games, Sam’s face now adorns a special room inside Dusk Till Dawn.

The special room has been kitted out with luxury fixtures as well as an artist’s impression of the UK’s top player and will now play host to some of DTD’s biggest cash games.
