Moorman Reaches UKIPT Final Table and IPO Poised For Finale

IPO Poised for Finale
The curtain came down BoylePoker.com’s International Poker Open yesterday with the field tantalisingly poised on nine players. With €20,000 already added to the prizepool, plus the sum total of each player’s €200+€30 buy-in, this year’s winner will walk away with €42,530; a fantastic amount of money for such a small buy-in.
Having kicked off last Friday, the Irish based event attracted a bumper field of 1,148 runners to Dublin’s Regency Hotel. Now, with just nine players left, the event has paused until November 10th to allow the finalists to compose themselves for the final showdown.
Currently leading the way is Tom Brady with a commanding chip stack of 3.2 million, which is over 200,000 more than his nearest rival Thomas Nathan. As with all tournaments held in Ireland, the atmosphere has been jovial all the way through and when the action restarts in two weeks time you can expect even more fireworks.

Online legend and the GPI’s 71st ranked player, Chris Moorman, will continue his quest for a second live title when he takes his seat at the UKIPT Online finale on November 7th.What started out as an online tournament with 587 runners will now finish as a live final table during UKIPT’s Bristol festival.
A total of eight players remain in the £735 event, with Moorman currently sitting third in chips with 563,818. Chris will be joined by a mixture of international players, including representatives from Russia, Germany, Uruguay and the Netherlands. However, when play commences there’s no doubt that Chris will be the favourite for the £77,000 first place prize.
Ireland’s GPI Top 5 Win Awards
The Irish Poker Awards were announced yesterday and last year’s WSOP final-tablist Eoghan O’Dea was scooped the top prize. Having made a deep run in last year’s Big Dance and eventually finishing 6th for $1,720,831, Eoghan jumped to 3rd in the all time money list for Ireland as well as 5th on the GPI’s Irish top 100.
Also picking up awards at the BoylePoker.com sponsored event were Ireland’s top player according to the GPI, Jason Tompkins and third ranked Jude Ainsworth for best online player.
