CPPT Venetian Proceeds with Day 2

The Card Player Poker Tour‘s most recent stop is in Las Vegas. The $5,000 NLHE Main Event is part of the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III, and the two initial starting days drew a total of 262 players for a $1,224,850 prize pool. The first starting day thinned its field from 93 to 44, and the second started with 169 players but reduced that number to 74.

Day 2 started with the 118 remaining players but ended with only 39 players. The money bubble still loomed, as only the last 27 players will receive money with the minimum payouts set at $13,473. The chip leader was Mikolaj Zawadzki with 507K, followed by Giorgio Medici with 347,700 and Jonathan Little with 297,800 chips. Dan O’Brien and John Holley rounded out the top five.

Day 3 will reduce the field to the final table, which is scheduled to play out on Wednesday, July 17.
