Parx and WSOPC Las Vegas Main Events Underway

Parx Big Stax Live Gets Solid Turnout

The Parx Big Stax Poker Series, with poker room ambassador Matt Glantz at the helm, worked its way through much of the series of tournaments to get to the $1,500 buy-in NLHE Main Event with a $500K guarantee and reentries allowed. There were a total of 517 entries over the course of three starting days, which left the guarantee far behind when the prize pool was announced. The top 45 players were set to be paid with $157,959 set aside for the winner.

Only 146 players made it to Day 2, and the money bubble burst in the evening hours. Some of the players who cashed included Paul Volpe, Scott Baumstein, Sammy Wu, Adam Cook, Olivier Busquet, Brett Richey, Alex Rocha, and Allie Prescott. There were 18 players remaining at post time, with the final table scheduled for February 18.

WSOPC Las Vegas Main Event Underway

The World Series of Poker Circuit drew some big names and a substantial field for its $1,675 buy-in NLHE Main Event in Las Vegas. Caesars Palace’s poker room hosted the tables that drew in 744 players from the two starting flights, though only 148 of them made Day 2. The total prize pool was $1,116,000, out of which the last 81 players would be paid with $223,197 going to the winner.

The money bubble burst soon into Day 2, and some of the players who finished in the money included Todd Terry, Will Failla, Erick Lindgren, Brent Roberts, Tom Dobrilovic, Kurt Jewell, and Ari Engel. With 34 players still in action at post time, more results will be available on February 18.
