PCA Wraps, Grinder Represents, APAC Announced

Last of PCA Side Event Results

As the 10th Anniversary of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure wound down from one of the largest poker festivals in the world, there were some big names finishing on a high note. Australian poker star Grant Levy, winner of APPT and ANZPT titles, took a PCA NLHE 6-handed title. Event 34 asked for a $5,300 buy-in, and of the 44 players who entered, Levy took home $78,940 for the victory.

Marcel Luske had one of the better PCA adventures of many players, as he claimed a second side event title. The $1,100 8-Game event brought in 117 players, and the final table was exciting as the only woman who entered the event, Jeanne David, took fifth place, and Marcel Luske went on to win for $13,810. The Team PokerStars Pro also won a HORSE event earlier in the series in Event 17.

Side event news was offered here on the PokerStars blog, along with a list of results only here.

PCA Parties

PokerStars is known for its parties, and celebrating its 10th anniversary produced a massive party in the Bahamas. There were fireworks, violinists, deejays including Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso, an elaborate selection of food, open bar for a few hours, Atlantis staff dancing with the audience to Gangnam Style, dancers with feathers, and drinks – lots and lots of drinks. Grinder Represents Poker Room

Michael Mizrachi has been dubbed the official poker ambassador of the Turlock Poker Room. It is located in California’s Central Valley, and “The Grinder” will play at the location and wear the logo when he plays poker tournaments around the world.

Mizrachi will be there to launch the Grinder Poker Series on January 19, a series of eight poker tournaments that culminate in The Grinder Showdown for a $15K guaranteed prize.
